Extending a heart felt congratulations to Dr. Marvette Thomas for receiving the 2023 Joseph R. Biden Lifetime Achievement and Presidential Volunteer Service Award. She is a phenomenal woman and exemplifies the epitome of excellence at every level. She possesses numerous professional attributes. Her vibrant spirit & generous nature make an incredible impression on everyone she meets and inspires them to elevate their own lives in the spirit of being able to “give back” the way that she gives. Dr. Thomas leads by example, always setting the perfect tone for any project she undertakes. She is never passive or complacent and is always looking for ways to actively support and inspire others. She has earned over 6,000 volunteer hours in local and international communities.
The Buffy Foundation, Inc. Receives the 2024 "My Praise, My Worship" Music & Arts Ministry Sponsorship Award
Since 2009, Art Ambassador, Beverly Johnson, hosted the annual My Praise, My Worship Scholarship Concert to offer high school scholarships to students in the Northern Virginia area who have shown commendable effort in serving their community. During the 2024 concert, the Buffy Foundation, Inc. sponsored the concert and received the 2024 “My Praise, My Worship” Music & Arts Sponsorship Award for the non-profit’s philanthropic support to the arts and academic achievements in Northern Virginia communities.
Beverly Johnson also received a Congregational Record and Award from the Commonwealth House of Delegates for her outstanding work in the community.
